The Housing Operations Division is responsible for day to day operations and asset management of the Corporations housing projects, which includes administration of residential tenancy as well as all aspects of maintenance including capital improvements.
Corporation Property Managers and on-site Superintendents work closely with residents base to keep standards and level of service high but at the same time exercise fiscal responsibility within our budgetary controls.
The Housing Operations division is responsible for:
- the inspection and maintenance of properties, including buildings, equipment, grounds and individual units
- the preparation and monitoring of operating and capital budgets
- monitoring the work of contractors
- the response to and investigation of resident concerns, i.e. noise complaints, tenant charge backs for damages and parking issues
Team Members
Property Managers
- manage all aspects of assigned portfolio as outlined in Division Overview
- supervision of site staff
- resident contact at Head Office
- on-call duty on a rotational basis providing emergency coverage 24 hours day
Maintenance Person
- completes maintenance at all Corporation sites as directed by Property Managers
- provides training for site staff
- oversees practical testing of potential new hires
Superintendents
- the Corporation’s on-site representatives
- investigate requests for repair and complete, provided request is within scope of their duties
- or forward to the attention of the appropriate Property Manager
- responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of site
- resident liaison
- show units to prospective tenants
- monitor common room functions
- monitor contractors on-site
